Check the tides and then check the forecast! The tide here can go a long way out making for a great stretch of beach. There are several tributaries that make fairly deep sea rivers along  the coast so best to take wellies or waterproof boots. You can walk all the way to Thornham and beyond but make sure you cut inland near Holme otherwise you may get stranded. The bus stop back to Hunny is outside Thornham deli perfect for a coffee whilst waiting.
