Set right on the North Norfolk coast with its creek-side harbor, Burnham Overy Staithe is a popular and picturesque destination with ample facilities for the whole family. In the center of the village, you will find a large playing field with a children’s play area, hard tennis courts, and a Basketball area. From the harbor you can also walk the mile-long footpath on the crest of the embankment out to the secluded sandy beach, or why not follow in Lord Nelson’s footsteps and learn to sail in the tidal creeks. Make sure you stop off at The Hero pub to refuel with some delicious locally produced food after a busy day out.

The village is also serviced by the Coasthopper Bus which travels along the north Norfolk coast between King’s Lynn and Mundesley. It’s a great way to visit the villages and seaside towns at your leisure without having to worry about where to park, plus there’s the added advantage that by abandoning your car, not only will you be choosing a greener way to travel but you’ll also be able to enjoy a tipple or two while out and about!
